Ngulingah Local Aboriginal Land Council Balances Economic Development with Heritage and Culture

It sits in one of the most beautiful parts of New South Wales, and Ngulingah Local Aboriginal Land Council is planning to make the most of its land in the Northern Rivers area.

Ngulingah LALC is in Lismore and its boundaries include what is known as the “Rainbow Region”, with Nimbin Rocks the most famous cultural landmark in the area.

Balancing cultural needs, environmental protection and economic development is not an easy task but Ngulingah CEO Mikael Smith says expanding the LALC’s native nursery and pecan crops will assist all three areas.
