The National Indigenous Football Championships held in Nowra are being hailed as a new pathway for young Aboriginal people keen to play the World Game.

The Championships join former Socceroo John Moriarty’s development program for young players and the new Indigenous Football Week, announced in 2016.

Football Federation Australia CEO David Gallop attended, and called the event “A true celebration of football and Indigenous culture.”

He also thanked the event partners, including NSW Aboriginal Land Council, for their support.

OurMob was there to yarn up with players and supporters, and we hope you enjoy the video and images below.
